Stickers and rub-ons are two "old school" supplies that are still very much at the forefront of various manufacturers' lines. So even though we all probably have enough of them to last a lifetime, we keep buying more! So then, let's talk about ways to organize and store these things!

Here's where my stickers and rub-ons live. Other "flat embellishments" like die-cuts and journaling spots can be found here too. These are 12x12 Crop Hopper pocket organizers sitting in two white milk crates I picked up at Target. Five of the pockets are nothing but alphas. Then the rest are divided out by categories and themes (word and sentiment stickers, journaling spots and labels, frames and borders, Christmas and Winter, Fall, Halloween & Thanksgiving, the rest of the holidays and seasons, travel, all-boy, flowers, animals, sports, etc.)

If you want to check out more ways to organize and store stickers and rub-ons, check out this post over at Club CK! Great ideas for sure!

And if you want to use up some of your word and sentiment stickers, be sure to check out today's challenge!

I'd love to see or hear how you store your stickers and rub-ons!

You're right, Megan, I think we all have tons of sheets of stickers and rub-ons, especially words. I had so many of them, and they weren't in any kind of order at all. Consequently, I never used them because I couldn't find what I wanted when I wanted it. Finally, I decided I needed to do something with all of them or just throw them away.

First, if I had a sheet of random words, I cut them apart. Then came the huge task of sorting all the words (stickers, chipboard words, and rub-ons) into categories that made sense to me. After sorting them, I made labels for each topic and put them in these stackable drawer units I bought at WalMart:

The pictures above show only a few of the categories I created.

This is one of the best organizational projects I've ever done! I have since found that I can find just the right word, phrase, or quote to fit my needs - and in a matter of seconds.

(Note: you'll see two towers of drawers in the top picture. Only the left one holds words, titles, and phrases. The right tower has larger miscellaneous embellishments (that are too big to fit in my small jars and tins) organized in alphabetical order.

My old stickers are in a drawer. Newer ones are with the collections they go with. A few random newer packs are in the drawer with flat embellishments.

I have a Scrap Rack that has most of my stickers and die cuts in it. I have a PSB binder that has all my alphabets in it but I don't have a picture of it.

Susan - what an awesome system!

Dria - I can understand with your style of scrapping why that binder never gets opened. At least the kids use them for projects.
